This is our agreement with you





Appointments



Each appointment is for one patient only, and is scheduled to discuss only one medical issue. If you have more than one medical issue to discuss or if you need longer consultation time, please ask our receptionist so we can book for you a longer appointment.



Referrals & Scripts



To follow Medicare guidelines, patient has to make a booking for referral and/or Scripts, we don't do referral or scripts without the patient booking either for a face to face consult or through a phone consult (if appropriate and suitable for existing patients).


Fees



We are a Bulk Billing Practice, We bulk bill all medical "clinical" consults for patients with a valid Medicare card or DVA card. Some Services can't be bulk billed to Medicare and these will be privately Billed (e.g. Travel Immunisation, Commercial Driver License consults, etc), Our receptionist can advise you of costs of these services.



Results



To discuss your results, you need to make a follow up appointment with the referring GP, 3-7 days after having your pathology or investigations done. It is your responsibility to come to follow up and discuss the results with the doctor.



Recalls & Reminders



As part of our commitment to preventive health, patients may receive reminder letters or messages. We also participates in national reminders systems such as the Pap Smear and Immunisation registers. If you do not wish to participate in these reminder systems please notify the reception.



Privacy Policy



It is the policy of the practice to maintain security of personal health information at all time. A privacy policy information sheet is available, you can request it from our reception staff.



Behaviour



Verbal and/or physical abuse toward our staff is not tolerated and any patient displaying inappropriate behaviour will be asked to leave. Doctors in this practice don’t prescribe S8 medication to new or existing patients without obtaining prior full medical information, specialist recommendations and getting approval from DDU QLD.

Cancellation Policy



It is very disappointing when a patient doesn't show up for their appointment without any prior notice or cancellation. It is courteous and ethical that If you are not able to keep your intended appointment time, or you don't need it, please phone our receptionist to reschedule or cancel it, so appointment time can be offered to another patient/ Patients who do not show up for their appointment will be charged cancellation fees, and if this is repeated, they will not be offered any further appointment in the practice.
